Chapter 2:5-24 - A quick thought

I am often confused by people's attack on the gospel because the four accounts of Jesus' life are not identical. My understanding of history does not grace me the language to speak of this subject but it seems an absurded assumption that a single event would lead to a uniform description by all those who witnessed it. This second account of creation may not correlate perfectly with the previous account but this doesn't trouble me. This account seems to be revelaing something different to the other account, it has another purpose and provides another perspective.

If anyone has a bit of academic background to this subject I would be very interested to hear your thoughts.
